About this site

motdata.uk provides aggregated MOT test statistics and vehicle data derived from publicly available DVSA datasets. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Information only

The content on this site is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, professional automotive, mechanical, legal, or financial advice.

MOT pass rates and failure data represent statistical averages across thousands of vehicles. They do not predict the condition of any individual vehicle. Always inspect a specific vehicle before making purchasing decisions.

Data accuracy

Our data comes from the DVSA anonymised MOT testing dataset, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. While we take care to process this data accurately, we cannot guarantee it is error-free.

Vehicle registration lookups (when available) use the DVSA MOT History API and return data directly from DVSA systems. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data provided by DVSA.

No warranties

This site is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The data is complete, accurate, or up to date
